Mindset is one of my favourite things to talk about. The reason for that is because it was mindset that changed my business. I feel like I had a pretty good grasp on strategy; I knew what to do. I quickly picked up on social media. Content came pretty naturally for me. I was able to pick up and understand things and figure out how to work the business with action and effort. But the mindset piece was what changed the game for me in my business. It was the part that was missing, it was the missing link to my success. So that is a reason that this is so important to me to share with you guys.
I know that there are so many of you out there who are doing the things and you feel like you’re working your business and you don’t understand why it’s not working for you. I was in that exact same place. I just remember so many conversations with my upline where I wanted to tap out. I would come to her and say I just don’t know if this is right for me. I just don’t know if this business is a good fit for me because I feel like I’m working so hard. I’m spending so much time doing things and I’m not getting results. It’s not working for me. Her answer would always be “just be consistent. Just keep showing up. Just keep doing it.”
After what felt like so many years, I would say probably like two years of me feeling like I was being so consistent, like I was showing up and doing the work, feeling like I was working on my mindset a little bit and still not getting results. I was like, Maybe this just isn’t for me. And it wasn’t until I really realised just how powerful your mindset is when it comes to your life and your business. And not just surface level mindset like “you can do it you got this, you are enough. Keep going keep showing up. You go girl, let’s do it”. Not just that kind of mindset, which is what I was really into. I was like, “Yes, I can do this. Just keep going I got this.” But actually digging beneath the surface to figure out okay, what is actually holding me back? What is actually keeping me stuck? What thoughts Am I actually having that are limiting my success? What are the things that I’m actually thinking that are shifting my energy and causing me to even though I’m showing up not get the results that I want, because energetically I’m not in alignment with my desires.
When I really understood that part of it, that is when the quantum leaps, the catapults the life changing results started to come for me, because the success of your business is not just effort.
So if you are giving 100% effort, but your energy is at a zero, meaning you have just terrible thoughts about your success, about yourself, you’re questioning your worth, you’re questioning your mindset, you don’t know if you can do this, you’re really struggling. THAT effort multiplied by that energy is going to be zero, your result is going to be at a zero.
But let’s say you’re giving 100% effort and your energy which is come which comes from your mindset is at 50%, then you’re gonna get pretty decent results right? You’re gonna get like mediocre results. If your effort is 100% meaning you’re doing all the things, you’re showing up, working as hard as you possibly can. But then your energy, meaning what you’re thinking about yourself, how you’re feeling about yourself, how you’re thinking about your business, feeling about your business, that is what determines what energy is coming out of you. That’s your energetic output into your life and into your business. If that’s at 50%, and you’re giving one 100% results, you’re gonna get, you know, average results, right.
So for a lot of you, that’s probably where you’re at. You feel like you’re working really hard. But energetically, you’re not quite all the way there yet. You’re not at the bottom of the energetic scale or the vibe skill, you’re kind of like in the middle. You have moments where you’re like, “I can do this!” and you feeling good. But then you also have moments where you dip down, but then you also have moments where you’re like, “Girl, nothing can stop me, I am going to the top!” And so you kind of just like ebb and flow up and down through the vibe skill, making you kind of like at 50%. That’s that surface level, right? 50% would be that surface level place. A lot of you are operating there in that 50% zone. If you’re giving 100% effort, but then your energetics is 50%, you’re getting mediocre results.
But imagine, if you were giving 100% effort, multiplied by 100% energy, what that would do for your business!! It would EXPLODE. You would get mind blowing results. You would get the results that don’t make sense! That’s what I want you guys to really understand about the power of your mindset. You’ve heard me say this 105 billion times. But this is so true and once you understand this, you’re really going to start to think differently, okay? Because your thoughts, drive your feelings, and your feelings drive your actions. I’m going to throw a little extra in there right now. Okay.
So your thoughts drive your feelings, what you think determines how you’re going to feel, okay? And how you feel is going to determine what your energetic output is going to be.
So if you’re feeling sad, the energy that people are going to receive from you is a sad energy. Even if you try to cover it up, you can’t hide your energy. So even if you are going to show up, and you’re going to act like you’re so happy and everything’s okay, there are going to be people that still know that something’s up. That’s those moments where you show up to something and you’re feeling sad, but you show up and you smile, and you’re like, “Hey, how’s everybody!” and then your friend pulls you to the side and says, “Hey, what’s wrong, you just seem like different?” Because people can read energy.
There’re some people that are really good at reading energy, some people not as much, but people can feel and sense the energy that you’re putting out. You can’t fake energy when it comes to attracting your desires.
And because that crappy energy is what is actually coming through with your action, even if you are doing the work, the energy that is tied to that action is what is really going to be received. Because your success, your result is the result of the effort times the energy. So if your action is of, you know, “I’m going to show up, I’m going to do the things I’m going to press live, I’m going to go live, I’m going to do the work, I’m going to send the messages, I’m going to write the posts”, but the energy that is tied to that action is a low vibe energy, and you’re at 0% 10% 15% or whatever your energetic output is. THAT is what’s going to determine what your actual result is.
So if you show up and you go live, and you’re thinking, “Nobody’s gonna watch this. I don’t know why I’m even doing this. It’s going to be a waste of time. I’m going to suck ,I’m probably going to look stupid people are going to think that I’m annoying, people are going to be so just annoyed by me, people aren’t even going to stop their scroll, they’re just going to scroll right by, people are going to mute me, they’re going to block me, all of my family is going to talk about me behind my back.” It all starts in your mind. If that’s what you’re thinking, then that feeling is going to be a blahhh feeling. But you’re like, “I know, I need to show up, I know I have to go live, I don’t want to, I’m really, really not feeling good about it. I don’t want to, but I’m gonna do it anyway.”
So you press go live, and the effort that you’re going to give shoots up, so you’re at 80% effort. You’re like, “I’m going to show up and do it anyways.” Okay, but then your energy is at 15%. Because you have all of those thoughts that are telling you that you suck, it’s going to be stupid, you’re gonna look dumb, everybody’s gonna be annoyed, right? You’re telling yourself all those things. So energetically, you’re showing up at 15%. Take that 80% of you actually doing the work and then that 15% of your energy being bleehhh. And then the result you get is going to be mediocre.
So you’re going to just you’re going to be like, “See! I knew it. I told my I told y’all that this was worthless, that going live doesn’t work for me. I don’t know why I keep doing it. My upline tells me I need to go live. And I try it. And I don’t get any results. Three people liked it. It was my mom, my grandma and my sister.” So you’re, you’re justifying that the things aren’t working even though you’re doing the work because you’re only focused on the effort, but what about your energy? You have to take into account your inner genetic output because that is multiplied by your effort.
If you want to elevate your results, if you want to attract your true desires, what you have to do is you have to start to elevate your energy. You have to start to raise your energy before you do the things. How does that work? What does that look like? I’m so glad you asked.

But in order to get a better result, from the effort that you’re putting into your business, you have to raise your your energy. And doing so comes from starting in your mindset. Shifting your mindset. Okay, that is how you elevate your energy.
When you think better thoughts, you feel better feelings! Because your thoughts drive your feelings, your feelings determine your energy, and your energy is going to determine what result you get from your actions. Okay, thoughts, drive your feelings, feelings drive your actions. But within that, whatever feeling you’re feeling is going to determine the energy that is connected to that action that you put out. So if you want better results, and you want to elevate your energy, you have to start thinking better thoughts.
Now, this does not mean that you can’t think negative thoughts. I think a lot of times we think “oh, being positive means that I can never be negative.” That’s unrealistic. That is not the truth. Let me tell you something, I still get negative thoughts every single day. My mindset is actually naturally more negative than it is positive. Which is why when I tell you guys, why I’m so passionate about mindset, it’s because I have to actually work at mindset every single day. Whereas doing the “work” comes naturally a little bit for me, right? That feels more natural for me actually showing up and doing the work. I feel like I have a good grasp on strategy when it comes to building a business. I feel like I’m pretty good at that part.
The reason I’m so passionate about mindset is because that doesn’t come naturally to me. And I have to actively work on my mindset every single day. I can’t just let my mindset run the show. Because if I did, then I would not have the business that I have today. You guys probably not even be listening to this podcast right now because I wouldn’t have one to even be able to do talk to you guys about. I would probably back in a teaching job, and probably would have quit and given up on my business at this point had I just let my mindset run the show.
If I was letting what I was thinking take over and I didn’t actually actively and intentionally change the way I was thinking, this wouldn’t even be a conversation we’d be having right now. My mindset naturally goes to the negative, or at least it used to always naturally go to the negative. Because I’ve worked so diligently on my mindset, now, I’ve kind of been able to rewire my brain to be able to naturally be more on the side of positivity. But that came through every single day, consistently working on my mindset.
First, came from being hyper aware of my thoughts, we talked about this in week one. If you aren’t aware of what you’re thinking, your mind is going to run the show. If you just let your brain run wild, your mindset is always going to be in charge of how you’re going to show up, the results that you’re going to get, always. So you first have to start to become really hyper aware of your thoughts.
Self awareness is huge here. And what that means is you have to start to think about what you’re thinking. So as those thoughts come up, that say, “this is never going to work for me, I’m going to look so stupid, nobody cares. I’m so annoying. Nobody wants to join me. I’m never going to be successful in this. I’m never going to make enough money. Why am I even trying?” When those thoughts come up, and your brain tells you those things. You have to be able to stop yourself in that thought, and say, where’s that coming from? Why do I think this, this is not true?
So if you are saying to yourself, I’m so annoying, people think I’m so annoying. You have to be able to stop that thought and say wait, where’s that coming from? Oh, that random kid in high school that used to laugh every time I would answer questions in class or whatever it was that triggered thought that you now hold and believe, that is not true, that you now carry with you every day. And you have to say, that is so not true about me. My belief about myself is that people love to be around me. People love my personality, exactly as it is. People love when I tell my corny jokes, right? You have to re-train your brain to think a different thought.
I do this every single day, y’all. This is not something that I have graduated from. Every single thought that I think is positive. Every single thing that I think that comes into my mind is positive. No, every single day a thought comes up that tries to stop me, every single day. And I have to stop that thought in its tracks every single day and say “Whoa, where did that come from? So not true. I choose not to believe that about myself. I choose not to believe that about my business. I choose not to believe that about my about my experience, about my kids about my marriage, about my this, about my that”
Whatever it is, you get to decide:
Those are going to become your new best friends, those words. You’re going to live inside of those words until you are able to replace that thought and it no longer feels so heavy for you anymore. So every time that negative thought comes up, you are going to tell yourself, I choose not to believe this thought. The thought that I choose to believe is _____.
“You are not a good leader.” I choose not to believe that thought. The thought that I choose to believe, is that I am an a phenomenal leader, and that I can truly help people be successful here.
“You are so annoying,” I choose not to believe that thought. The thought that I choose to believe about myself is that I am so funny, and people love to be around me.
“You’re never going to be able to be successful at this. Why are you even trying?” I choose not to believe that thought, the thought that I choose to believe is that success is already mine, and that it gets to get even better from here.
You’re going to start to replace your thoughts. And for me, what really helped me even take it to the next level was not just thinking the thoughts but writing them down. So I started to keep a journal of the thoughts that were coming up. And I would scratch through it and then write my new belief, my new thought that I was choosing to believe. As those thoughts kept coming back up, I would immediately catch that thought, right, you have to be able to catch the thought. If you let it run free, and you just let it run around, havoc is going to happen. Right?
I know a lot of you are Mama’s and you know that if your kids start running around free, havoc is going to happen. You have to catch your kid, it’d be like, “Hey, slow down. Be careful. You’re gonna get hurt if you don’t slow down,” You have to catch your kid first, though, and be like, wait a minute. You have to do the same thing with your thoughts. You have to catch them and be like, whoa, whoa, whoa, where do you think you’re going? No, no, no, that’s not how we play around here. What you need to do is this, this is how it’s going to go down.
If you let your kids be in control. Oh, my gosh, madness. You’re in charge of your thoughts. You get to control your thoughts. When you let your thoughts be in control, madness happens. Chaos happens when your thoughts are in control. You have to be the adult, the parent, the owner, the person who is in charge. You get to say, “Wait a minute. That’s not what we’re going to be doing today”. Grab hold of that thought, sit it down, have a little talk and with it and say “no, no, no, you don’t just get to run free around here. You don’t get to just race and play and turn up all the dirt,” right?
Maybe you don’t have kids, but maybe you have a pet, same thing. You let your pets just run wild and free and you don’t have any kind of leash on your pet, madness is gonna happen. Right? Chaos is going to ensue. You have to get control, you have to be the one that is in control. Okay? Okay.
So, you’re going to start to get control of these thoughts, and you’re going to start to slow them down, you’re going to start to tell them what you want them to now become. This is not what I believe anymore. What I believe now is this, I’m choosing to believe this, right? When you say that you choose to believe that, it is a choice that you are consciously making. I am choosing not to believe that anymore. I don’t want to believe that anymore. I refuse to believe that starting right now. And from now on, this is what I believe.
When you can catch your thoughts, flip, reverse them, and then send them on their way to go frolic and do good things, you shift your feelings, you start to feel better. And as you start to feel better, what happens to your energy? It starts to go up. So you go from that 15% That you’re feeling and suddenly you’re at like 50%, which is way better than 15%. And as that thought continues to come up and you continue to grab hold of it and say no, no, no, no. And it starts to go up and up and up and up. Right.
Don’t expect that you’re gonna go from zero to 100 overnight. You’re gonna have to slowly work your way up. But guess what, as you work your way up the result that you get from 100% effort and 15% energy = BLEH. The results that you get from 100% effort and 50% in energy way better. So even though it’s not like mind blowing outrageous results, you’re gonna get a little bit better results. And as you continue to do this, your result is going to get better and better and better, and you’re going to continue to rise up and up and up, until you’re at a place where you’re like, wow, the results I’m getting now are crazy.
Your results are gonna get a little bit better over time as you rise up that scale. As you rise, and you get higher and higher and higher. This is how you get those quantum leaps. You’re gonna start to get a little bit better results and then all of a sudden, you’re gonna feel this energetic shift that is going to take you from 50% to like 80%. And you’re like, “Whoa, it feels like overnight. I just feel so much better and the results that I’m getting are like crazy.”
You’re gonna do this every single time that a negative thought comes up, you’re going to shut it down. Catch it! “Oh, no, no, no. Where do you think you’re going? No, no, no, slow down. This is what we’re doing here. This is how things go. I don’t know if you have been introduced to next level me yet. But next level me, we don’t play like that around here.”
Have you ever had to like bring out Boss Mom on your kids? Or your pet? You’re like, “oh, no, no, no. I don’t know if you’ve met boss mom. But we’re not about to be doing that!” You have to bring out your next level. So you have to catch that thought. And be like, “Look, I know that for a long time I’ve let you run wild around here. But let me introduce you to next level me. Next Level me, this is not how we play. This is not what we do. So this is how it’s gonna go. This is how it’s gonna work around here from now on. I don’t know if you knew that, but this is how it’s gonna work.”
When you can bring out that next level version of you, and introduce you to your thoughts, you get to be in control now. And you start showing up differently because you feel better when you show up. So when it’s time to go live, and those thoughts come up, you’re gonna catch that thought. Be like “Oh, no, no, no, this is not how we do things around here. We believe in ourselves, we know that we are bad. We are queens, we have what it takes. We don’t do things like we used to do them, we show up boldly, we show up with belief we show up fiercely. And you don’t get to run and play like you used to anymore. So why don’t you go over there way, way, way far over there, have a seat. And let me do my thing.”
You press play, your energy that you’re going to come forward with on that live is going to be energy where people are going to be like, “Daaang WHO IS THAT?! I can’t stop watching! I wanna pay attention to her, I wanna be in her world! THAT’S how you become truly next level. When you operate like that. So this is what you’re gonna start doing.
When you flip them and reverse them, you’re going to start to feel better. And because you feel better, your energy is going to shift. Because your energy shifts, it’s going to raaaaise UP! It’s going to match your effort. When your effort and energy are multiplied together, you’re going to get better results.
This is how you do it. This right here is the magic. It’s the literal game-changing business strategy that no one is talking about it like this. No one talks about business strategy this way. It’s not just what you do, but how you’re doing it. This is exactly what I’ve done to change the game in my business. This is what YOU’RE going to do to change the game in YOUR business.
