Hey Queen!!!
What’s up girl? It has been a minute! Your girl has been putting in work behind the scenes. So last time, I announced that I was leaving my former company that I grew an incredible business with and was starting all the way over from zero at a new company. And since then, I have been doing the dang things.
I have been really focused on just hitting the ground running, launching really strong, making sure that I am giving this business the time, attention, nurturing that it needs to really create a strong foundation. Because if you guys know me, I don’t play small, I do things big. I’m planning on building this business in a massive scale. I just really needed to make sure that I had all of my ducks in a row, all of my systems in place so that I can come in and slay without running myself into the ground. So that’s what my focus has been these last couple of weeks.
Amazing things have been happening over there. We are growing so quickly. It has been absolutely amazing. After I stepped away from my former company, I have just been on a cloud. Like, I feel like the ropes that I was holding on to in that business, trying to do things in a way that I was just not aligned with, was really keeping me stuck. And now that I followed my heart, followed what I feel like God was leading me to. I feel so freaking free. And I just feel such a sense of openness and freedom and clarity. It has allowed me to really elevate that lid that I have been under for the last couple of years. Feeling stuck, feeling like I tapped out, like I got in as far as I possibly could in that space. Now, that’s gone.
I’ve been getting so many messages from you guys, from people that have just been on this journey with me saying that they feel the energy from me, that they feel that energetic shift from me, that they just sent a different vibe, that the glow is real. And I am so here for that.
I am so pumped for all of the juicy goodness that is going to be pouring out from within me onto all of you over these next few weeks, months coming up because there is so much that I have in store for you guys. So get freaking excited for it. All right?
So most of you know (or maybe not) because I know I have a lot of newer people in my world over these last few weeks. I’m a certified personal trainer, I have a background in fitness. I don’t actively do personal training anymore, but I do still carry the knowledge of what it means to have good form and know how to use weights properly and all of that good stuff when it comes to working out in fitness.
I went to a body pump class today and let me tell you that there’s just something so powerful about group fitness classes. Anybody else feel me on that? I just love being in a room with people who are also working on themselves. Everybody is just vibing together. And as we are having this class, I get this massive divine download that just hits me and I am like, oh my gosh, this right here is so good.
Okay, so if you guys have ever lifted weights before, if you’ve ever worked with a personal trainer before, or if you’ve ever done any sort of fitness program. You’ve probably heard of mind-body connection. And what that really is is when you’re just lifting weights and you’re just like, OK, I’m lifting some weights. But you’re not really connecting your mind with your body. When you’re exercising, lifting weights, doing the movements, stop for a moment to you connect your mind. Take what’s happening, the actions that you’re putting into that move, that exercise, and when you really connect your mind with your body, it activates something so much more powerful in your muscles.
It’s almost like if you’re doing a Bicep curl and you’re just doing this and you’re just like, okay, yeah, I’m doing my Bicep curls. There are muscles in your biceps that are there, but you haven’t activated them because you haven’t connected your mind with your body. So you’re doing the motion and you’re doing the activity. But there is no activation there. There is no connection. You haven’t turned those muscles on. The muscles are there, but you haven’t turned them on. You haven’t activated them.
But when you stop and you’re like, okay, what muscles am I working right now? Like, what part of my body am I trying to get the most out of right now? So if I’m doing a Bicep curl, then I know that this is the part of my body that I want to focus on, really feeling this motion, really feeling this activity here.
If I’m doing this Bicep curl now, when I get my mind and body connected, I start to actually think about feeling those muscles working. I start to actually think about the movement that I am doing in activating those muscles. So now those muscles aren’t just there anymore. They’re activated. They’re turned on, right? Yeah. Okay, are y’all following me here? If you have ever worked out before in your life, then you should kind of understand what I’m talking about, right?
When you’re doing a squat, if you’re just doing it, you’re probably just feeling something. But when you do that squat and you start squeeze, you focus on squeezing your booty. When you come up, you feel those glute muscles activate. You feel it bigger, you feel it better. You feel more when you turn those muscles on, right? Because you’re now thinking about the motion that you’re putting in. You’re thinking about the effort that you’re putting in to that movement. All right, here is the mind blowing part. Here is the part that just left me. Like, oh, snap.
You don’t need to look outside of yourself to step into your next level version of yourself. Your next level version of you is already there. It’s already inside of you. All you have to do is think about it. Connect it and turn it on. Come on somebody, where are my praise hands at? Can I get an Amen up in here?
You just need to activate what is already inside of you. It’s just lying dormant right now because you haven’t turned it on. You haven’t activated that next level version of yourself. So right now it’s there and it’s maybe doing a little bit of something. But it’s up to you to decide and say I’m doing the work already. Now all I need to do is think about using what I already have inside of me to take it up a notch. Do you feel me? Do you feel me on this? Are you hearing me?
When you’re doing your exercise, your muscles are inside you already. They’re lying dormant until you decide. Oh snap. I want to make this work a little bit better, want my results to come a little bit faster. I want the effort that I’m already putting in to this workout, to turn up a notch. So when you activate your mind body connection to that exercise and you turn on the muscles that are already doing the work and you just crank them on, you get better results from that workout, you’re going to see faster success from the effort that you are already doing.
When you say, I am already showing up in my business, why am I not getting the results as quickly as I want? I’m already doing all the things in my business. I feel like I’m doing them, at least. But have you really activated yourself, though? If the effort that you’re already putting in gets cranked up a notch, gets turned up a little bit higher, you’re going to see faster results when you are activated.
When you think about, okay, what am I working on today? When you step in the gym, you think, today I’m going to be working on legs and you activate your leg muscles during those exercises so you can get better results faster. It’s the same for when you’re working in your business. You need to think, what do I need to do today? What part of me do I need to activate today? What do I need to turn on today so that the results come faster? So that the effort that I’m already putting in gets cranked up a notch?
Are you just moving your arms up and down and expecting to get big biceps by the end of the week because you’re doing the motion? Think about it. Think about it girl. Are you actually turning yourself on? Are you actually activating the parts of you that are already there? You don’t need to become somebody that you’re not. Like I’m not saying you need to go get a bicep implant. You don’t need to add anything into yourself that’s not already there. You don’t need to go look at what everyone else is doing.
It’s going to be a matter of when you decide to activate it to get the results faster, bigger, better, with more ease, more structure, with less strain, less stress, less burnout. When you’re using proper form in your workouts, you will not get injured. Part of having good form is to protect yourself from injury. Are you turning yourself on? Are you activating yourself in your business so that you can avoid the things that you don’t want to happen? When you’re activated, things just come with more ease for you. I want you to think about what activating looks like for you.
For me, it’s my magnetism. When I think about activating myself, I think about turning myself on, making myself glow so big, so bright, so bold, so that people see me from a mile away. That, to me, is activating myself. What do you need to do to activate yourself for your business? What’re you missing? What are the things you’re doing, going through the motions in your business, that you can turn up a notch to get better results? What is that for you?
Maybe for you it is your voice. Maybe you want to get more bold about the way that you’re speaking. You’ve been putting a mute on your voice, you’re not saying things the way that you truly want to say them. Turn yourself on. Activate your voice and say what you really want to say. Stop putting a filter on your words and just say it the way that you want to say it instead of just going through the motions of what you think you’re supposed to say.
Turn on your voice. Get bold with your voice. Activate your words that are coming out of your mouth, that you are typing onto your phone. What do you need to turn on for yourself and your business? What are you not activating that needs to be activated to crank things up a notch for you? That is what I want you to think about.
