Before I came up with this formula, I felt like I was just spinning in circles in my business. Like I was always having to hunt people down, pretty much beg them to buy from me. I couldn’t figure out how to sell without it being yucky and icky. I would sell here and there but it would be weeks before the next sale came. And I knew that just wouldn’t work to build the life that I wanted for my family. So I came up with this formula that only has 2 STEPS. THAT’S IT. THAT’S ALL YOU NEED TO MAXIMIZE YOUR SALES.
You need to serve people, be of service to others. You’re going to find ways to help people for free. First, offer them your services. Find one platform you’re going to utilize to serve your community. It could be a Facebook page, group, Instagram stories, email, a podcast, a simple group chat, etc. What does that look like? Come in there and write helpful tips, do some lives, or whatever you think you can do where they will get some value from you. You have to do this consistently, that means daily.
Ask yourself these two questions everyday: What does my community need from me today? How can I serve them today? Pop in there a couple times a day and engage with them.
You can obviously have 2 or more platforms but when you’re starting out I highly recommend to pick one platform you will really focus on to grow and expand. For me, it’s my Facebook group. From time to time, I also share the things I do on there on my personal profile. Like if I’m gonna do a live on a certain topic, I’ll share it on there too. This way, if there are people interested on the topic that aren’t a member yet, they’ll ask to be added. So now, I’m consistently getting new people who I can serve and sell to.
Make sure you ask yourself: who are my people and where can I find them? Focus on that and hang out where they are active in.
I know selling feels yucky and awkward whenever you do it, and much more if on a daily basis, right? But when you’re also serving, then people don’t really get to complain because they get free stuff from you all the time! They don’t get to complain when you go into your group and sell when they get free tips and value from you.
When you combine serving and selling on a regular, consistent basis, there’s no reason why you wouldn’t start making more money. LITERALLY NO REASON WHY you wouldn’t start earning more if you started serving and selling every single day.
For me, I try to do a straight-up serve post at least twice a day. I just come in and do a live or a post, whatever it is, I try to serve at least twice a day. And then I’m also going to a serve and sell post. So it might look like these:
*tip**tip**tip* by the way, if you wanna learn more or work with me on a personal level, I have this program you can enroll in.
*tip**tip**tip* if you want more tips, I have 5 spots open for 1-on-1 coaching.
*tip**tip**tip* if you’re ready to go to the next level, here’s how you can join my new program.
So I’m serving you by giving you tips and education you, but I’m also selling because how else am I supposed to make money, right?
It takes an average of 17 times for a person’s interest to be peaked whenever they see it.
Now this doesn’t mean they’re ready to buy what you’re offering. This simply means they’re curious and interested about your products. When you think about it that way, and you’re just talking about your products once a week… Then it’s going to take an average of 17 WEEKS before someone’s interest is peaked into what you have to offer.
If you’re over here tiptoeing around your products, and all you’re doing is popping in your groups and just being like “hey guys! what do you need from me today?” you’re still not selling. You’re not telling them what they can buy from you. You have to straight-up sell to people. They need to know what your service and product is and they should see that on a daily basis.
If you went from only talking/selling your product once a week to 2-3 times a day, how much faster are you going to now convert new people into your customers? VS if you’re walking on eggshells about selling because you’re afraid it’s going to be icky and awkward? Well the way to combat that yucky feeling is by serving them! You serve them so you won’t feel yucky when you go in selling your products. You won’t feel bad about telling them how they can work with you if you’re helping them for free all day long!
And that’s how you’re going to start to consistently bring in more cashflow into your business because it doesn’t have to be a bad thing when you’re talking about your products and services when you’re also giving people valuable info for free!
