We know that if you want to make a big impact in your biz which is going to lead to the big income, then you need to be influential. In order to influence people, they have to feel like they know you and they can trust you. There needs to be some kinda connection between you and them. We’re not trying to get people to like you, we’re trying to get people to feel connected to you. When you do this, you’ll be able to show up more authentically because then you’re not trying to make people like you. You’re just making yourself more relatable.
An influencer isn’t someone necessarily with a lot of followers. There are people with a lot of followers but have no influence on them. A real influencer is someone who has people that know, connect, and trust them. And that’s what you should be working towards for that bigger income we want you to have.
Teach your audience something that’s going to be valuable for them. Something that’s going to benefit them so they feel like you’re an expert in that certain topic. Once they feel like you have more knowledge than they do, they will always go to you for advice. That’ll build their trust with you. You don’t have to be a real expert on certain topics, you simply have to post what others might not know about it. Definitely do this around your products, but also in other aspects of your life outside of your biz. For example, if you’re selling essential oils, you can post about how to get rid of headaches by using oils. Or how to make candles or how to relax with it.
But I want you to also do this about other things going on in your life. You don’t want people to only see you as that essential oil girl, or that makeup chick; you want them to fully connect with you as a person. If you’re a mom, maybe share about motherhood. How you deal with your daily struggles with your kids, family, etc. You want them to feel like they know you on a deeper level by educating them on things outside of your business/products.
The superpower: vulnerability.
When you allow people to see your vulnerable side, that is when you develop true influence. Let people see your flaws, struggles, challenges, the things you’re overcoming, that’s when people develop that true connection with you. That connection plays a huuuge part in building influence. This is when you actually get people to pay attention to you, want to know more about you, and get in your area. They will feel like you truly are a Soul Sister to them.
You gotta make both encouraging and emotional posts because you don’t wanna be that emotional girl who only shares about the struggles and negative stuff in her life. Take that struggle and turn it into something that will encourage, uplift, and inspire people. When they see that you’re going through the same struggles as they are and they see how you’re getting through it, they will make a deep connection with you. In return, this will make them see you as influential.
The goal here is not to try and connect to everyone. The goal is to connect with people who can authentically relate to who you are and what you’re going through. You’re NOT going to connect with everyone and that’s OKAY. What’s important is you have a connection with your target audience.
SHOW OFF YOU! This is where you let your hair down and SHINE, queen! You want people to get your personality. If you don’t have people sending you memes and reels that made them think about you, then you haven’t been showing your authentic self. When people see something that connects to your personality, they should be thinking of you. Your goal here is to be so authentically you that it’s going to implant a memory in people’s brains about the things that relate to you. That’s going to help you make an influence over people and that will allow you to have a bigger impact on your biz. The goal here isn’t to get people to like you or get a bunch of likes. You don’t wanna be a basic b that just posts about basic things like everyone else. The goal is to think how can you get more influence, and get more people to know and trust you.
In this biz, if you’re not getting people to want to jump and join your team, then the likes don’t matter. The likes aren’t translating to dollars in your bank account. It’s better to only have 5 people who truly believe and love you than 500 people who are just meh about you. You wanna focus on the few who feel so connected to you.
