Imagine how your life will look like next year. Really picture how your ideal day will look like a year from now with all the little details from sunrise to sunset. And that’s what you’re gonna write on your journal. Whatever you want to happen in your life and business, write it down as if it were already happening right now. Don’t write things like “on this day next year, I will be….” instead, be like “I had the best sleep last night and I woke up feeling refreshed and ready to conquer the day!” etc.
This keeps you looking forward. Instead of focusing on your life right now, you have a clear view of the future. It’s so easy to get caught up in looking at your life right now – I don’t have the clients that I want.. I don’t have the income that I want.. A lot of times this is how you get stuck in your business and go down the self-sabotage hole. What this does is it slows down your momentum because you’re only seeing what you don’t have. Remember, you’re only gonna get more of what you’re focused on. So if you’re focused on not having enough income, then you’re gonna get more of that. And that’s how people get stuck in self-sabotaging.
Ya’ll know we got no time for thaaa. So journaling how your life is gonna be like next year, or even next month, 5 or 10 years from now, trains your brain to be excited about what’s coming next. So then, you’re gonna re-focus your energy about what’s gonna happen next, rather than what you have right now.
This journaling will help you see the best is yet to come. It may not be right now but that doesn’t matter because it’s coming. So what’ll happen now is when your brain knows that the best is yet to come, you start to prepare for that. You will now work as if you have gotten those things already. A bit of a friendly advice for journaling,
Your ego is there to protect you, it is the reason you keep playing small. It’s the one saying “don’t dream too big, girl! What if it doesn’t happen? You have to play smaller.” Your ego doesn’t want you to get hurt so it will always drag you to playing it safe. But STOP. Don’t overthink it! Whatever you’re gonna write on your journal has to come from your heart’s desire.
Let it flow from your heart and not from your brain. When you let it flow from your heart you get to be truly honest with yourself. Stop listening to your ego, we’re not talking about realistic! We’re talking about your heart’s desires! God doesn’t place realistic desires in our heart because we wouldn’t need his help anymore. If He gave us desires that are realistic, then what would be God for?? We can accomplish these things on our own! So He gave us these big, grand, complicated desires because He knows we’re gonna need Him to accomplish everything. Your desires should be scary, seem impossible, unrealistic, too far-fetched.
Once we’ve settled on our heart’s desires, we can now ask ourselves: if this is what my heart truly desires, then what small actions do I need to start doing to get closer to these goals? Try to think about those small actions you can do to bridge the gap between where you are right now and that day on your journal. Dig in to what you really truly want. That’s the mindset you wanna be in. You’re basically manifesting but
A lot of people would be like “oh just manifest you’re gonna get a ton more clients.” Well yes, you can manifest that but clients don’t fall from the sky! Believe that they’re coming and work towards that. Get into that energy and picture it out clearly in your head. Decide if the things you’re doing now will get you to that life. If not, well girl, it’s time to make some changes! What are the practical things you gotta change – do you need to raise your prices, join more groups, have more social media presence, etc. to get you closer to the dream life you’re longing for.
